Science News Redesign
A new identity and design for a 100-year-old magazine (for the first time in over a decade).

I led the redesign of Science News — in partnership with Metaleap Creative — and oversaw the transition of the publication from a bi-weekly to monthly frequency.
The new Science News is rooted in our history and mission of expanding scientific knowledge. It aims to better serve our readers through elevating our content and providing more opportunities to showcase the beauty and complexity of science.

The redesigned TOC and splash pages help navigate readers through the issue.

The news section is now more flexible and features more white space.

Feature design has been revamped with a new emphasis on visual storytelling.

The back of book preserves book reviews and issue feedback but now features math and crossword puzzles and a “technically fiction” page.
